Emergency Medicine

Computer technology has revolutionized the field of medicine, and Dr. Rajat Chand knows first-hand just how much new technology can improve the experience for emergency room patients. Prior to joining our staff  he directed the electronic medical record (EMR) implementation and deployment efforts for four emergency departments and a 70 physician practice group. Having instant access to a patient’s family history, physical ailments, already-diagnosed diseases, allergies and medications can dramatically improve the quality of care that an emergency medicine physician provides.

After earning his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Boston University School of Medicine in 2002, Dr. Chand completed the George Washington University (GWU) Hospital Internal Medicine Internship and Emergency Medicine Residency Program, where he also served as Chief Resident.
