One of Fauquier Health’s most significant capital improvements this year will be the complete renovation of its Infusion Center. With the anticipated arrival of a new board-eligible hematologist / oncologist and extensive build-out of the medical oncology facilities, Fauquier Health takes another giant step toward providing comprehensive cancer care. The new facility is being designed to provide a cheerful, light, and modern setting for infusion /chemotherapy patients. The rooms will incorporate many of the home-like comforts already found in the O’Shaughnessy Birthing Center, including the ability to screen medical equipment from view to create a more serene atmosphere. Advanced technology, comfortable patient-centered design, and on-site supervision by a hematologist / oncologist as well as our acclaimed infusion nurses will combine to make this the outstanding treatment facility in the region. By coupling advanced medical oncology with the state-of-the-art radiation services at the Cancer Center at Lake Manassas, Fauquier Health will be able to offer a full spectrum of cancer care services.
